| Abstract: | Esta dissertação analisa o impacto social da implementação do Instituto Multidisciplinar (IM) de Nova Iguaçu da UFRRJ na Baixada Fluminense, entre o período de 2005 a 2017. A análise do impacto social tem como objetivo traçar um perfil do alunado contemplado pela implementação do IM e realizar um histórico da criação do instituto, buscando suprir lacunas de pesquisas anteriores. Esta pesquisa se baseou na análise de fontes institucionais da UFRRJ, como as deliberações do Conselho Universitário, Relatórios de Gestão dos anos 2008-2017, Plano de Reestruturação e Expansão da UFRRJ e Projeto Político Pedagógico do IM. Também contamos com a análise de depoimentos orais e audiovisuais. Concluímos que o IM proporcionou acesso a cursos de ensino superior para a população local, ao mesmo tempo que sensibilizou os alunos para questões relativas ao pertencimento de sua identidade regional. |
| Abstract: | The following dissertation analyzes the social impact of the implementation of the campus of Instituto Multidisciplinar, also known as IM, of the Universidade Federal Rural do Rio de Janeiro (UFRRJ) between the years of 2005 to 2017. Our goal is to discover the profile of the students contemplated by its implementation and to analyze the history behind the institute’s creation, seeking to fill the gaps left by previous studies. This research was based on the analysis of institutional sources from UFRRJ, such as deliberations by the University’s Council, Administration reports for the years 2008 to 2017, Restructuring and Expansion Projects and the Political and Pedagogical Project of IM. We have also relied on the analysis of spoken and audiovisual media. We reached the conclusion that the institute has made possible for the local population to have access to higher education while raising student’s awareness of their regional identity. |
