| Abstract: | Este trabalho tem como objetivo compreender as estratégias de intervenção política e social adotadas por setores da Igreja Católica, especialmente em questões relativas à vida do campo e à melhor reforma agrária a ser feita no país. Por meio da análise de textos e artigos veiculados na Revista Eclesiástica Brasileira, durante o período de 1950 a 1964, buscaremos entender a trajetória institucional do periódico, os projetos e concepções políticas de Reforma Agrária expressos nele e responder algumas questões que foram colocadas durante a investigação: como a R.E.B. e seus colaboradores receberam as encíclicas da Igreja? Como seus editores e colaboradores se posicionaram frente aos principais acontecimentos políticos do período entre 1950 e 1964? Como enfrentaram o intenso debate sobre a questão agrária? Quais as propostas de Reforma Agrária foram defendidas na R.E.B.? |
| Abstract: | This study aims to understand the political and social intervention strategies adopted by sectors of the Catholic Church, especially in matters concerning the life of the field and the best land reform to be made in the country. Through the analysis of texts and articles published in the Revista Eclesiástica Brasileira during the period 1950-1964, we will seek to understand the institutional trajectory of the journal, projects and Agrarian Reform of political views expressed in it and answer some questions raised during the investigation: as the R.E.B and his collaborators received the encyclicals of the Church? As their editors and contributors were positioned opposite the main political events of the period between 1950 and 1964? How faced intense debate on the agrarian question? Which proposals for agrarian reform were challenged at the R.E.B? |
