Throughout the second half of the twelfth century and the first quarter of the thirteenth century starts the production of Hasidei Ashkenaz (Pietists of “Germany”) in the context of Ashkenazi Judaism. The Pietism defended by this Jewish circle, especially regarding to the Sefer Hasidim, main work of Pietism that talks about a new proposal of religiosity, in which implied precepts of what was expected by God to the lives of jews, not captured in its entirety in protocol knowledge of Jewish tradition comes to light through a set of ascetic guidelines and practices and an even more rigorous penitential process that its adherents should follow. The precepts defined in Sefer Hasidim, from intense dialogues with Jewish tradition, with other forms of mysticism present in Judaism and contemporary Ashkenazi intellectual production, points to the social reorganization of adherents of Pietism versed in its with relation to the other Jews. Likewise, jewish-christian relations, sometimes approaching and sometimes distancing themselves, shall form the basis of socio-religious conception that the Sefer Hassidim will discuss, forged between interactions, conflicts, strategies and practiceseng
