This work had as it’s objective evaluate the frequency and fluctuation of the population of degradators coleopterons of the wood in the plantation of Eucaliptus urophylla, in the district of Seropédica, testing adaptations on the trap model Carvalho-47. The coleopterons were collected weekly during the period of April 15th to Septemper 30th of 2008. The traps were installed at a hight of one meter and thirty centimeters from the ground. Three of the traps were put in the crop of eucalyptus and three on the border line of the crop, where a grassland is predominant. 1768 insects were gathered and were identified to the level of family. The family with the most occurrence was Scolytidae with 73,59%, followed by the insects classified as others with 20,5%. The highest of the Scolytidae family were higher than the highest of the other families. This indicates that the modifications done on the trap made her more specific for the gathering of insects from the Scolytidae family. Another observations taken in this work is the superiority of the coleopterons of the Scolytidae family collected in the plantation over the coleopterons collected outside of the plantation.pt_BR
