Abstract: The aim of this study was to analyze the impact caused by the use of the tracks located in Bico do Papagaio and Pico da Tijuca over the community of litter fall macroarthropods in Tijuca Forest, RJ. During the rain period, we did collects of litter fall in the tracks in three different classes (0, 5 e 10m) of two altitudinal high (650 e 850 m. a.n.m.). The collected material was selected on a Berleser´s funnel and, later, an idenfitication of the arthropods by the order level. It was sampled an amount of 3380 individuals of 19 different taxons, with the orthoptera order the most frequent (n= 2447, 72,40%). There were significant differences in the abundance between tracks and in the number of taxons between altitudes. Possibly, these differences are an effect of the structure and floristical composition of the tracks and high. Nevertheless, it is possible that bigger differences can be found with the refinement of the collected arthropods identification.
